About Each Series
Diane (Dee) Klein, is the author of two different level book series. The ORB ADVENTURES SERIES made its debut in 2021 with the publication of The Mystery of the Wailing Woods: An Allegheny National Forest Adventure. These MIDDLE GRADE adventure stories take readers to locations around the world, where hair-raising challenges meet them at every turn. Courage, collaboration, friendship, and some good old fashioned problem solving might just come to the rescue! There will be four books in the series. Dee is working on books 3 and 4 now.
The second series, STEAM 4 Littles, is a series of books for children ages 3-7 years. STEAM is an acronym for Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math. Each story represents some element of science, such as nature, environment, biomes, and animals, and focuses on an aspect of creature life and human impact on the world. The first book, released in January 2025, is Percival's Amazing Adventure, a story about a lost Antarctic Emperor penguin and the friendship that helps him get home.

Reviews for the Orb Adventures
Mystery of the Wailing Woods- Book 1
“Griffin is my favorite character because he is kind, courageous, and teased by his friend."
Cole, age 9
"A delightful tale of friendship and adventure. Right from the start, you are drawn to Caleigh and Griffin as they unlock the mysteries of the forest. A truly magical feel good story that any young reader can fall into."

Trouble at Tintagel - Book 2
"I am a teacher and two of my students who told me they “don’t like to read but loved the book” (that’s pretty high praise) wrote our review….."
"This book was a magical mystery. The kids’ mission was interesting and exciting! They had to use their brains to solve the challenges. We also liked learning new British vocabulary. And the dragon character was hilarious!"

My 11-year-old son is using my account to write his review:
"An amazing book! The challenges the characters had to overcome were exciting and all interesting in their own unique ways. I love the story's overall plot, between the magic orb, the baby dragon's backstory, and all of the fantastical creatures they meet along the way! 10/10, fantastic book. Would recommend it to anyone, no matter their age."

Mystery of the Wailing Woods
I picked this book as a bedtime read aloud for my kids. We read a couple chapters per night and they were more and more interested as the book when on. When we got about 3/4 of the way through the book, they read it on their own after I tucked them in because they couldn’t bear to wait any longer! The next morning they said I HAVE to read the end and they are trying not to tell me what happens. Although I haven’t read the end yet, this book is a winner for me because my kids couldn’t put it down! It’s a great nature adventure with a lot of descriptive language to make you feel like you are in the forest with them.“
